Today i will guide on how to calculate your commodity percentage increase.When i mean by  commodity, i am talking about the increase in your business products. There in this site we will calculate the commodity of any particular products.Let look at some  examples...

Percentages increase of a product

Let calculate the percentage of selling price of  product that increased from  ₦60  to ₦85.

   Solution 

Selling price of product = ₦60

 increase in price = ₦85 -  ₦60 

                                  =  ₦25

              increase                        100

                            ₦25                 

                   =   -----------

                            ₦60

                 = 42%

Our increased in percentages is 42. that means the product price is now higher that the previous.In an international business, company bodies make sure each commodity/ product has its percentage.

For Companies

Another insurance i will guide is classic ideology to calculate any additional percentage of students.In a class or working area, people are increasing time to time, day by day . If in a class/place of work, or school, the previous  number of students were 78 after two  months  10% is added. what will be the total number of students in the class?

First, we have to look at the percentage added before we manipulate it with the total number of people.Let gooo....

In a textile manufacturing company, delivery workers are 120, if 20% workers is added.How many workers are now in the unit.

    Previous workers = 120

 New workers    =  24

Total workers  = 24  +  120

                     =  240

As a teacher, you should know any class can be increased with numbers of students, If  a class is creased with a given percentage, we can also applied the above method.

There are 50 students in SS3. 10% of the students increased. How many pupils are now in the class?

  Number of students   = 50

         =    5

   

 =   50 + 5

     =  55 Number of students

Now calculate the following business insurance questions:

1.  In a class of 70 pupils, 10% of pupils are added.How many pupils are now in the class.

2.The selling price of a product increased from  ₦100 to 150.find the  percentages increase.
